Free 12" Pattern: Block 3: 3 Blocks from 1 Pattern Series
Block 3 from the "3 Blocks from 1 Pattern Series" (12" Finished) Block

From your fabric 1 cut 2 pieces measuring 6 7/8" Square
From fabric 2 cut 1 piece measuring 7 1/4" Square
From Fabric 3 cut 1 piece measuring 7 1/4" Square
Take your 2 squares you cut from fabric 1 and cut on the diagonal to create a total of 4 traingles (2 from each square)

Take both sqaures that you cut from Fabric 2 and Fabric 3 and cut on the digaonal. Repeat on the other diagonal. This will give you a total of 8 triangles (4 from fabric 2 and 4 from fabric 3)
Take one of the triangles you have cut from fabric 2 and one of the triangles from fabric 3 and sew together as shown below. Repeat with the other triangles from fabric 2 and fabric 3
Iron.

Take one set of your newly sew triangles and sew with one of the triangles you have cut from fabric 1. Repeat with the other pieces you have cut to have a total of 4 sewn squares.
Iron

Using the layout below sew the squares together, iron and you are done.

When sewing this block together I started to play with the layout. This is the third block in a 3 from 1 pattern series. All 3 blocks can be made from a total of 3 fat quarters (1 fat quarter of each of the 3 different fabrics)
