Prairie Queen (12" Finished) Block


From Fabric 1 cut 1 piece measuring 4 1/2” Square
From Fabric 1 cut 4 pieces measuring 2 1/2” Square
From Fabric 2 cut 2 pieces measuring 4 7/8” Square
From Fabric 2 cut 8 pieces measuring 2 1/2” Square
From Fabric 3 cut 4 pieces measuring 2 1/2” Square
From Fabric 3 cut 2 pieces measuring 4 7/8” Square
Take the 2 4 7/8” Squares you have cut from Fabric 2 and Fabric 3 and cut on the diagonal
Take one of the triangles you have cut from each Fabric 2 and Fabric 3 and sew together. Repeat with the other remaining triangles to give you a total of 4 newly sewn squares.

Take one of the 2 1/2” squares you have cut from each Fabric 1 and Fabric 2 and sew together. Repeat to give you a total of 4 newly sewn rectangles.

Take one of the 2 1/2 squares you have cut from each Fabric 2 and Fabric 3 and sew together. Repeat to give you a total of 4 newly sewn rectangles.

Layout all your fabrics as shown below.

Sew the rectangles blocks together.

Sew the blocks together in a row. Sew the rows together. You are done. Enjoy!
