Free Pattern 12" Block: Wyoming Valley
Wyoming Valley (12" Finished) Block
From Fabric 1 cut 4 pieces measuring 2 1/2" Square
From Fabric 1 cut 16 pieces measuring 2 7/8" Square
From Fabric 2 cut 8 pieces measuring 2 7/8" Square
From Fabric 3 cut 8 pieces measuring 2 7/8"Square
Take all the squares that you have cut from Fabric 1, Fabric 2 and Fabric 3 that measure 2 7/8" and cut on the diagonal.
Sew together all the triangles you have cut from Fabric 2 to a triangle of Fabric 1, you will have a total of 16 newly sewn squares.
Sew together all the triangles you have cut from Fabric 3 to a triangle of Fabric 1, you will have a total of 16 newly sewn squares.
Sew each of the blocks together in each of the rows. It is important to be careful when you iron these newly sewn rows, iron every alternate row in the opposite direction (this will help your finished block sit flat).
Layout all your rows and then sew the rows together. Iron and you are done!
